Happy Fall Yall!
During this month of ‘Thanks’giving I want to thank all of you who have visited The Pretty Swan. I have never met so many sweet folks – thank you all for making me feel so welcome!

Fall Hair Trends 2019
Two hairstyles dominated the fall runways – the low pony and the return of half up half down.
How do you make it work for you? Add one of Fall's BOLD hair accessories.
My favorites for half up half downs and low ponies: ~ Velvet ribbons ~ Pearl clips ~ Tied scarves ~ Leather headbands
~ Bobby pins
Why curl, straighten, and blow dry when you can add a little pop to those second and third day locks and get out the door quicker, get party ready in a snap, and look totally pulled together?

Velvet Ribbons
Velvet bows in black or moody plums elevate any low pony or half up half down. Add Pulp Riot's Tousle Finishing Spray to the ponytail and a mist of Shine Spray to the sides to contain flyaways and add major shine.
Pearl Clips
So easy right?! Barrettes are all grown up adorned with pearls and jewels. Another grown up option - tortoise shell. Us southern girls love our pearls and a pretty clip can elevate even the most basic jeans and tee. Look party ready in a snap.
Tied Scarves
Another great option for low ponies and half up half downs. I recommend securing the pony first with a clear or Bobble elastic then loop the scarf through the elastic to keep the scarf in place. Tie a quick knot, leave the bows for velvet ribbon. Keep your pony low when adding a scarf or risk looking like Sandy from Grease.
Leather Headbands
Leather headbands and leather ponytail wraps were all over the Fall fashion mags. In a rush? This is a perfect way to look pulled together and can be done in the car on the way to work - the look can be styled sleek or messy, no need to even brush! I recommend shades of black, burgundy, forest green, navy or camel.
Bobby Pins
You probably already have a million scattered in the bathroom drawer. Grab a handful - no need to match - and layer them. Use a basic bobby pin or find them in rose gold or adorned with a pearl.
~ Flip hair to one side and secure a section behind the ear.
~ Try 2-3 on each side of a center part
~ Make a quick little braid and secure the loose ends
